Business and Operations
Dan Rosenbaum, president and editor-in-chief, is a pioneer of online publishing, putting his first newsletter, Wiretap, online in 1986. Along the way, he led the print and online presences of well-known publications including NetGuide, Time Digital, Internet Shopper, Mobile Office, and fireEMS. he also has been a frequent cable news commentator on all things Internet.
Dan headed 3Ships Communications, a New York-based editorial agency with a clientele among the first boom of Silicon Alley. He spent six years as a reporter and editor for United Press International, has been a freelance writer for more than three decades, and is an alumnus of Ziff Davis, CMP, Time Inc., Pennwell, and MecklerMedia. His byline has appeared in newspapers and magazines around the world.
Deeply knowledgeable about search, Dan was the SEO lead at iVillage — at the time, the largest women’s site online — and Associate Search Director at Sapient, where he had large clients in the technology, finance, and consumer goods industries. His private clients have included GE Corporate Marketing, NYSE Euronext, the Linux Foundation, Makeover Solutions, and Latina.com.
He lives in Brooklyn with his wife and two kids.
Amy Keiter is VP of Business Development for Center Ring Media. Based in Portland, Oregon, Amy brings deep experience in marketing, communications, media, government, and sales to Center Ring’s clients and partners.
Amy began her career in media as an editor at the Associated Press in Portland and then went on the air as a producer/reporter at Portland’s top radio station, KINK-fm 102. She moved into public relations for one of the nation’s largest health care organizations and then into marketing communications in the high tech industry. Her tech experience launched her into a wildly successful B2B sales role working with marketing groups in Fortune 100 companies like Microsoft, Siemens, Polycom, Agilent, and HP.
Switching gears, she joined Oregon’s economic development agency where she worked to grow the state’s economy by recruiting new business and providing technical assistance to existing companies to thrive. She was promoted to the Governor’s staff, where she was responsible for high-risk, high-profile projects and regional partnerships, collaborating on thorny multi-jurisdictional policy initiatives.
Amy is a graduate of the University of Oregon (Go Ducks!), and is married with four grown sons.
